Senior Software Developer

We are Medical AI, a Berlin-based Healthcare startup that empowers hospitals to navigate the digital age. We're looking for passionate software developers who want to make a difference and work with us to develop modern solutions with real value and unique user experience for the healthcare industry.

Tasks

• Collaboration on a system for medical decision support that can save human lives in critical situations
• Working closely with a strong product team of experts from various disciplines
• Flat, clear hierarchies and fast, pragmatic decision-making processes
• A agile development process without much bureaucracy and flexible working hours
• A modern technology stack that you actively help shape (we use Scala, HTMX, Tailwind CSS, Keycloak, Docker, GitHub)
• Analyzing, developing, and shaping software architecture and domain models
• Analyzing, designing, and developing deliverable software components according to modern software engineering practices (incremental approach, pair programming, high test coverage, continuous integration & deployment, secure by design, high degree of observability through metrics)
• Code reviews and best-practice meetings, as well as onboarding and mentoring
• Developing tools to improve our internal developer experience

Qualification

• Excellent team player with strong communication skills
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience
• Very good knowledge in Scala, as well as Play or Spring Boot
• Very good knowledge in at least one additional programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Very good knowledge in developing REST APIs
• Good knowledge in handling git and Docker
• Experience in working with Linux and common command-line tools
• German on at least C1 level
