(Senior) Software Developer

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Developer (m/w/d) in full-time for our location Hannover (List).

In this role, you will work on a diverse cyber-security product landscape and develop modern, scalable, and secure customer-oriented software solutions.

This position is aimed at strong Frontend- ODER Backend Developers. You don't have to be a Full-Stack Developer – we appreciate deep technical expertise, a strong engineering mindset, and close collaboration across disciplines.

Tasks

• Technical responsibility for existing and new applications or services within our cyber-security product portfolio
• Conceptualization, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
• Participation in architectural decisions and active shaping of long-term technical orientation
• Closely working with other developers, Product Management, UX/UI, and QA to implement comprehensive solutions
• Ensuring high standards regarding performance, security, stability, and code quality
• Active participation in code reviews, architecture, and technology discussions
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for long-term maintainability
• Fundamental support and mentoring of junior developers
• Collaboration on multiple products as well as implementation of new features, optimizations, and maintenance tasks

Qualification

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical qualification
• At least five years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Frontend or Backend
• In-depth expertise in one core area of software development and a solid understanding of adjacent disciplines
• Experience with one or more modern technology stacks, such as Angular, TypeScript, Web Components in the frontend or Python, Django, FastAPI, REST APIs, and distributed systems in the backend
• Fundamental experience in developing and operating scalable, high-quality software in complex, distributed systems
• Excellent understanding of modern software architecture, clean code principles, and common best practices
• Experience with modern development processes such as version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and code reviews
• Pleasure in working together in cross-functional teams as well as technical discussions and architectural decisions
• Outstanding analytical skills, structured work approach, and high level of self-responsibility
• Team-oriented, solution-oriented, reliable, and resilient
• Safe handling with UNIX-based systems, particularly Linux
• Excellent German language skills and fluent English language skills.
