What awaits you:

• Modernization of complex .NET applications with a focus on asynchronicity, threading, and application performance

• Migration of synchronous legacy codebases into stable Async/Await architectures with suitable transition strategies

• Development of robust integration concepts between synchronous and asynchronous components using modern architectural patterns

• Analysis and resolution of complex concurrency, threading, and performance problems in production applications

• Design of scalable desktop architectures with WPF, WinForms, and performant UI thread communication

• Definition of best practices for cancellation, error handling, resource management, and reproducible quality assurance

• Technical consulting on async paradigms, software architecture, refactoring, and step-by-step modernization of large software landscapes

Certain technical and personal prerequisites are helpful for this position. The following requirements give you an overview of which experiences and qualities are advantageous for this role.

What you should bring:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable qualification, as well as several years of C#/.NET experience

• In-depth practice with Async/Await, SynchronizationContext, Task Scheduler, ConfigureAwait, and hybrid sync/async architectures

• Experience with deadlocks, race conditions, thread pool exhaustion, and complex multi-threading error patterns

• Several years of knowledge in WPF, WinForms, Dispatcher, and performant decoupling of computationally intensive UI processes

• Experience with profiling and diagnostic tools such as Visual Studio Diagnostics or PerfView

• Practice in legacy modernization, refactoring, software architecture, and automated tests for concurrency scenarios

• Experience as a technical lead, coach, or mentor, as well as with architectural standards and static code analysis
