Senior Software Architect (all genders)

Senior Software Architect prägst you clockins architecture hands-on: You decide what technically carries, drive AI-First and Internationalization forward, and give our Engineering Team the foundation for scalable growth.

Your Tasks

• You make central architectural and design decisions, gather input from the Engineering Team, and align strategic topics with the CTO.

• You improve the structure of our Laravel codebase, establish clear module interfaces, and a service layer for greater maintainability and testability.

• You design the architecture for our internationalization and geographic expansion, including the decision on global authentication strategy.

• You build our AI and agent infrastructure for workflow automation and MCP, thus laying the foundation for fast, secure AI features.

• You develop an event-driven architecture for integrations with third-party systems.

• You document architecture and decisions pragmatically and machine-readable (ADRs, C4), conduct code and design reviews, and develop the Engineering Team further professionally.

This brings you

• You bring several years of experience as a Software Architect, Lead Engineer, or Staff Engineer in scaling SaaS products.

• Modern backend architectures, modularization, domain-driven design, and service-layer patterns are your home.

• Practical experience with a hyperscaler (ideally AWS) is part of your toolkit, Laravel/PHP, TypeScript, and Python are a clear plus.

• You use AI coding tools like Claude Code daily and have already experienced designing AI-near systems (Agents, Tool/Function Calling, MCP, RAG).

• Experience with event-driven architectures, global infrastructure, or outsourced auth solutions (Auth0, Cognito, WorkOS) makes you particularly interesting to us.

• You convince through argument and substance, make decisions under uncertainty, and build prototypes for important topics yourself.

• Very good German and English skills round off your profile.
