Senior Shopify Engineer / Shopify Developer (m/w/d)

Shopify is not just an e-commerce platform, but a platform where digital products, customer journey and user experience come together? Then this role is exciting.

At Healthtech Ventures, Shopify is used as the central frontend of a digital health platform. Based on this, a custom Shopify app has already been developed that functionally extends the webshop and will be further developed internally.

In this role, you will work closely with the current Shopify owner and take responsibility for the Shopify ecosystem of the entire company. It's not about classic shop maintenance, but about Shopify Plus, Custom App Development, Extensions, Storefront customizations, UX and the technical development of a demanding platform.

Aufgaben

• You will take on a central role in the further development of the Shopify ecosystem at Healthtech Ventures.
• You will develop and maintain your own Shopify apps, extensions and storefront customizations.
• You will work on an existing custom Shopify app that functionally extends the webshop to a digital platform.
• You will use Shopify Plus comprehensively and technically explore its possibilities around Customizing, APIs, Functions and Extensions.
• You will ensure that Shopify as central frontend for customer interactions, user journey and shopping experience works smoothly.
• You will actively think UX, formulate requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• You will work closely with the current Shopify owner and backend engineers, acting very independently in the Shopify area.
• You will integrate backend systems, APIs and platform logics into the Shopify experience.
• You will support future new platform accessions and AI-supported interactions in conjunction with Shopify.
• You will bring your own ideas to further develop the platform technically, functionally and user-side.

Qualifikation

• You have deep practical experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus.

• You have already implemented complex Shopify projects and taken technical responsibility.

• You bring experience in Custom Shopify App Development.

• You are familiar with Shopify Extensions, Storefront customizations, Liquid, Shopify APIs and ideally Shopify Functions.

• You work safely with JavaScript and TypeScript.

• You have experience with cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform, or AWS, Azure, or similar setups.

• You understand Shopify not just as an e-commerce platform, but as a central platform for user experience, customer journey and product logic.

• You can independently categorize requirements, derive technical solutions and implement them smoothly.

• You are communicative, productive and eager to work closely with Product, Backend and AI engineers.

• You will work independently and want to take responsibility for a central technical area.

• A HealthTech background is not necessary – what matters is your experience with complex Shopify or e-commerce setups.
