(Senior) SEO Specialist (m/f/d)

As a (Senior) SEO Specialist in the Projecter team, you will sustainably develop the organic visibility of our clients – in classic search engines as well as in AI-powered search systems. You will lead your own projects, expand your expertise, and find room with us for new ideas, exciting contacts, and your personal development.

Responsibilities

What awaits you?

• Project responsibility and independent development of SEO strategies – also with a view to AI search (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT)
• Consulting and performance optimization of complex client projects
• SEO analyses with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Sistrix – and implementation of suitable measures
• Close collaboration with our content team, where you will act as an SEO sparring partner for topics, research, and texts, making content fit for classic and AI search
• Clear presentation of results in reports and presentations
• Close exchange with clients, including planning and conducting workshops
• Development of off-page strategies and sustainable link building, e.g., through digital PR and collaborations
• Collaboration with colleagues from an international agency network from other online marketing areas in cross-functional projects
• As a Senior: You will also take on technical responsibility within the team, support colleagues, and further develop our SEO approaches

Qualifications

What do you bring?

• At least 1-2 years of professional experience in technical SEO – including with complex domains
• Experience in agency life: You know what it's like to manage multiple client projects in parallel, set priorities, and deal with changing requirements
• In-depth knowledge of on-page and off-page factors, as well as an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (you don't need to be able to program)
• An instinct for how and what people search for online – and how AI is changing this behavior
• Analytical thinking and enjoyment of working with data
• Professional demeanor in client communication and very good project management skills
• Reliable, self-directed way of working – even when things get hectic, for example, with major ranking changes or traffic drops
• Curiosity about new topics and trends, as well as a high willingness to learn
• Enjoyment of teamwork
