Senior SEO Consultant (all genders)

We are MAI Marketing Automation Intelligence – an agency group with around 400 experts who are rethinking data-driven marketing. For our subsidiary mediaworx in Berlin and Augsburg, we are looking for a dedicated personality who is eager to take on responsibility, develop professionally and personally, and actively shape the future with us.

As a Senior SEO Consultant, you will be a strategic sparring partner for our clients and responsible for complex SEO projects from conception to successful implementation. With your analytical eye, your technical expertise, and your passion for SEO, you will proactively guide your clients on their path to success.

Responsibilities

• You will independently manage demanding client projects both strategically and operationally.
• Together with the team, you will create forecasting and business case developments with a view to traffic and revenue potential based on market data, seasonality, and growth scenarios.
• Together with the client, you will develop data-driven investment decisions (e.g., towards C-level or in pitches).
• You will proactively advise your clients and jointly develop individual SEO & GEO strategies with them.
• You will create SEO & GEO concepts, competitor analyses, and technical audits – always keeping an eye on the relevant KPIs of your projects.
• You will prepare presentations and present planned measures and concepts to your clients.
• You will conduct in-house training sessions for clients.
• You will represent the SEO department at trade fairs and networking events.

Qualifications

• You have at least 5 years of practical professional experience in SEO.
• You enjoy taking full technical and strategic responsibility for your projects.
• You possess the ability to present complex technical/strategic topics in a way that is appropriate for clients and management (slides, pitches).
• You have strong strategic thinking skills regarding positioning SEO & GEO as part of a holistic marketing vision, not as a silo discipline.
• You are deeply familiar with current GEO and AI topics – from optimization for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews to analyzing how and whether brands are cited in AI answers.
• Your approach is solution-oriented, analytical, and customer-centric.
• You have excellent knowledge of common SEO and AI visibility tools (e.g., Sistrix, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, as well as tools for analyzing LLM visibility).
• You are very communicative and enjoy client work very much (in person, via email, and by phone).
• You have very good German language skills at C2 level, good English language skills are an advantage.
