Job description

Mercari India Security Engineer As a Security Engineer at Mercari India, you’ll play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing internal systems to improve both the efficiency and security of our global operations. This role focuses on automating IT processes, enhancing security operations, and enabling scalable, secure infrastructure across the organization. You will work closely with our IT and security teams in Japan and the US, contributing to the automation and streamlining of our internal systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing security controls and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems. This includes developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as conducting security assessments and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats. You will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security initiatives, and for developing and implementing training programs to educate employees on security best practices. In addition, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, and for recommending and implementing new security solutions as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the security posture of our organization, and for ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
