Senior Security Engineer

Centreon is looking to strengthen the security team by integrating a senior security engineer. At the heart of the Centreon product, the security team has a strong impact. It plays a central role within the R&D department, which consists of about 50 tech professionals. It notably collaborates closely with the cloud infrastructure and software engineers teams.

As a multidisciplinary professional, you will join a team of 2 people with rich and varied profiles. You are an expert in Cloud, particularly AWS. You will support all of the tech teams (dev, product, SRE) to implement best practices, build the platform, automate processes, deploy components, operate solutions, etc.

Your missions will be diverse and always driven by the desire to share successes with strong ownership.

Missions:

• Integrate security practices into the entire lifecycle of our internal infrastructure and cloud platform, as well as into our SaaS products.

• Contribute to the development of a robust security architecture that aligns with the zero trust model.

• Strengthen cloud security (AWS, on-prem), participate in infrastructure hardening, advanced threat protection, and secure SaaS design.

• Actively participate in a diverse team of engineers, including security engineers, software engineers, DevOps, and SREs.

• Build and operate the security strategy for AI uses and technologies within the company;

• Ensure the maintainability and scalability of various components, by disseminating state-of-the-art security best practices;

• Collaborate with software engineers, the infrastructure team, and product management to build secure-by-design products and services;

• Build an effective and robust incident response strategy using modern alerting and detection systems; correct and mitigate security issues in collaboration with the Infrastructure team.

• Evolve the security team's capabilities by leveraging agent AI to automate repetitive tasks (alerts, triage, reporting).

• Be an active member of the security guild.

• Bug Bounty management.

Technical Stack: AWS – Terraform – Zero trust: Okta, Teleport – SSLDC – SIEM

Profile and Skills

• You are autonomous and demonstrate ownership, capable of leading cross-functional projects.

• You have significant experience in cloud infrastructure security: systems, networks, and particularly AWS.

• You have a good understanding of security in large-scale distributed systems.

• You have good knowledge of IAM management on cloud providers (AWS, Auth0).

• You are proficient in one or more languages from our tech stack.

• You have an interest in the Open Source ecosystem and monitoring.

• You enjoy innovating and evolving platform architectures towards greater scalability.

• You want to be an active member of a diverse engineering team composed of security engineers, software engineers, DevOps, and SREs.
