We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Scrum Master to accelerate the delivery of cutting-edge laboratory automation software. In this critical role, you will coach multiple, cross-functional teams responsible for developing high-integrity C# services, sophisticated workflow scheduling tools, and robust QA automation frameworks. Success in this position requires advanced servant leadership, a deep understanding of scaling agile within complex R&D environments, and a passion for maximizing team productivity to help scientists generate high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
Agile Coaching & Leadership:
Act as the servant leader and coach for 2-3 development teams, ensuring they adhere to Scrum principles and practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and psychological safety.
Coach Product Owners (POs) on maximizing product value, refining the Product Backlog, and effectively articulating customer requirements from R&D and Marketing teams.
Delivery & Process Optimization:
Drive measurable improvements in team velocity, cycle time, and quality metrics by actively identifying and removing complex systemic impediments and organizational blockers.
Facilitate and coordinate large-scale planning events, retrospectives, and Scrum of Scrums to ensure alignment and dependency management between teams developing different automation components (e.g., robotic drivers, scheduling software, and data services).
Proactively anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure predictable delivery timelines for critical milestones, including the release of new instrumentation features.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
Ensure clear, transparent, and frequent communication regarding team progress, risks, and health to stakeholders across R&D, Engineering, and Marketing organizations.
Champion organizational change initiatives to increase the adoption of Agile best practices across the broader department, advocating for process improvements identified by the teams.
