Senior Specialist for Balance Sheet, Accounting, and Group Financial Reporting (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility and operational involvement in the preparation and quality assurance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code) at the individual and group level (including consolidation)
• Accounting for complex construction projects as well as valuation of provisions, receivables, and project-related risks
• Direct reporting to management and shareholders
• Primary internal and external contact person for balance sheet and tax-related questions
• Involvement in budget planning, forecasts, and analysis of key earnings and balance sheet drivers
• Further development and standardization of balance sheet, accounting, and closing processes as well as active participation in digitalization and automation initiatives in the accounting department

Profile

• Successfully completed studies in Business Administration, Accounting/Auditing, Taxation, or a comparable qualification, e.g., Certified Accountant (m/f/d) or Tax Advisor (m/f/d)
• In-depth knowledge of HGB as well as experience in group financial reporting
• Several years of professional experience in a responsible position in accounting, auditing, tax consulting, or group financial reporting. Applications from experienced candidates (m/f/d) from auditing or tax consulting who are seeking a transition to a corporate environment are also welcome
• Experience in the construction or project industry is an advantage
• High quality standards combined with analytical and strategic foresight
• Structured way of working and enjoyment of communicating with various stakeholders
