About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding real estate investment firm, is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Real Estate Acquisition Specialist to join their fully remote acquisition team. This role is central to identifying, evaluating, and securing new investment opportunities across various property types. You will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to support strategic acquisitions that align with the firm's investment mandate. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the real estate acquisition process, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing our client's portfolio and to leverage your expertise from your home office. Your contributions will directly impact the firm's investment success and market presence, focusing on opportunities within the Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source potential real estate acquisition opportunities that meet the company's investment criteria.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including pro forma modeling, sensitivity analysis, and ROI calculations for prospective acquisitions.
  • Perform in-depth due diligence, including title review, environmental assessments, zoning compliance, and physical property inspections (remotely coordinated).
  • Analyze market conditions, demographic trends, and competitive landscapes to assess property values and investment potential.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements and other transactional documents with sellers and their representatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal legal, finance, and asset management teams to ensure smooth transaction closings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, property owners, lenders, and other industry contacts.
  • Prepare detailed investment proposals and recommendations for the acquisition committee.
  • Stay current with real estate market trends, legal requirements, and best practices in acquisitions.
  • Manage the acquisition pipeline and ensure timely execution of all deals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, or corporate finance with a focus on real estate.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing, analyzing, and closing real estate transactions.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting complex information remotely.
  • Proficiency in real estate market data platforms and CRM systems.
  • High degree of self-motivation, organization, and ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.

Benefits

This fully remote position offers a highly competitive base salary and an attractive bonus structure tied to acquisition performance. Our client provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off. Continuous professional development opportunities are available through online courses and virtual industry events. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative remote team, working on significant investment opportunities. The role offers excellent flexibility and the chance to make a substantial impact on our client's growth from Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA, or any other suitable remote location.
