Senior Quantity Surveyor & Senior Estimator

A well-established commercial main contractor in Central Otago is experiencing continued growth and has secured a strong forward pipeline of vertical construction projects. As a result, they are expanding their commercial division and are now seeking both a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Senior Estimator to join their high-performing team.

These are newly created positions, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the commercial function and supporting the business through their next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

You will be working across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects, contributing at both pre-construction and delivery stages. These roles will suit commercially astute professionals who enjoy working closely with construction teams and influencing project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Full commercial management of projects (QS role)
• Leading and preparing detailed tenders and estimates (Estimator role)
• Cost planning, procurement and subcontractor engagement
• Financial reporting, forecasting and risk management
• Supporting continuous improvement across commercial systems and processes

About You

• Proven experience in a senior-level QS or Estimating role within a commercial main contractor environment
• Strong background in vertical construction projects from the NZ market
• Excellent commercial acumen and contractual knowledge
• Confident communicator able to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a growing, fast-paced business
