Senior Quantity Surveyor - Construction industry

Description: Hire Resolve's client, a leading construction company in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying for construction projects in the Eastern Cape region. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring junior quantity surveyors and providing guidance on best practices in quantity surveying. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices. A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field is required. Relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with a leading construction company, will be advantageous. Key responsibilities include: • Managing all aspects of cost management for construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues. • Developing and implementing effective quantity surveying strategies to minimize costs and maximize value for clients. • Providing guidance on best practices in quantity surveying to junior quantity surveyors. • Maintaining accurate records of all project-related activities, including financial transactions and site visits. • Collaborating with other departments within the company to ensure effective communication and coordination.
