Job description

Are you a Senior Quality Engineer who looks beyond solving deviations? Someone who sees quality as a steering instrument and takes the lead in structural improvement? Then we offer you a role in which you truly make a difference.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you are a key player in elevating our quality performance to a higher level of maturity. You act proactively, identify risks before they become problems, and strive for sustainable solutions. You are not a follower of processes, but a co-creator of how quality is ensured, improved, and experienced within our organization.

An important part of your role is to lead improvement projects both substantively and methodologically, including driving and guiding the Quality Improvement Team (QIT process). In this role, you act as a coach, challenger, and substantive conscience.

What will you do, among other things?

  • Proactively analyze quality deviations, trends, and risks to uncover structural, system-driven root causes.

  • Lead root cause analyses and ensure effective, sustainable CAPAs.

  • Initiate, develop, and ensure quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Prepare, conduct, and purposefully utilize internal and external audits.

  • Analyze and translate quality KPIs into concrete improvement actions and decision-making.

  • Take ownership of quality within NPI projects, including critical assessment of deliverables and customer specifications.

Where will you make a difference?

You will work intensively with production, engineering, supply chain, and customers, but above all, you will take substantive leadership. You ask the right questions, break reactive patterns, and help the organization design quality to be predictable, robust, and future-proof. Within the team, you will have the space to initiate improvement initiatives, involve others, and collectively determine where your expertise adds the most value.

In short: a role for a professional who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and structurally takes quality to the next level.

What does Benchmark offer?

Working at Benchmark means working in a dynamic work environment. You will work in an independent team where your initiatives and ideas are highly appreciated. Taking initiative is greatly valued and rewarded.

You will work in a team of 8 direct colleagues. The team you work in is close-knit, and every year you can count on a fun team outing! Beyond that, Benchmark organizes plenty of activities, such as an annual summer party and Christmas party.

Additionally, we offer:

  • Good salary: with a range of €4,795 to €6,842 gross per month on a full-time basis. You will be scaled based on your previous (relevant) work experience, and we will naturally consider your salary indication as well.

  • Quarterly bonus: this is revenue-dependent and can amount to a maximum of 5% of your quarterly salary.

  • Holidays: enjoy 40 days off per year (27 vacation days and 13 ATV days).

  • Room for growth and development opportunities: for example, by participating in one of the many training courses offered by our Benchmark Academy, but also by following training courses that suit your wishes and our organization.

  • Flexible working hours: as long as you ensure your work is completed, we offer the flexibility to arrange your working hours.

  • Participation in our BE-Fit program: exercise with colleagues at Benchmark's expense. Together, we have already done kickboxing, cross-fit, and participated in padel clinics.

What do we look for in our future colleague?

  • A completed technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Business Administration and Engineering.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a Quality role, preferably within a high-tech or manufacturing environment.

  • You work methodically and structured and apply proven quality and improvement methodologies (e.g., RCA, CAPA, Lean Six Sigma).

  • You take ownership of improvement initiatives and realize them from analysis to sustainably secured results.
