Senior QS / Executive QS

Newcon Builders Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Executive Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Based in the Pasir Ris, this is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in the financial and contractual management of our construction projects. As Senior QS / Executive QS, you will be responsible for overseeing quantity surveying operations, ensuring cost control, contract administration, and value management across multiple projects. This role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence project outcomes at a senior level within our organisation.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts for construction projects

• Administer contracts and manage contractual relationships with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors

• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and implement cost control measures to prevent budget overruns

• Prepare and review interim and final accounts, variation orders, and claims documentation

• Conduct value engineering and cost planning studies to optimise project value and performance

• Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure effective project delivery

• Prepare professional reports and presentations on financial and contractual project matters

• Mentor and supervise junior qs staff, fostering professional development and best practices

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies

• Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years' post-qualification experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry

• Proven expertise in contract administration, cost management, and financial control on medium to large-scale construction projects

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts

• Advanced proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Proficiency with quantity surveying software

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

• Experience in the Singapore construction market and familiarity with HDB Project is advantageous
