Senior QA Tester

Senior QA Tester Clerk Grade: 9/10 Employment Type: Full-time, temporary 12 months Location: 4 Parramatta Square (base) and Rawson Place, Sydney as required from time to time. Hybrid working, which is subject to change based on team needs or broader divisional and DCS flexible work policies. This role sits within the NSW Fair Trading in the Digital team. About the team NSW Fair Trading is responsible for the administration of property and consumer protection laws in NSW. The Fair Trading Digital team is a dynamic and innovative group that uses technology to improve the way we do business, making it easier for people to access information and services. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Tester to join our team. As a key member of the Digital team, you will be responsible for testing software applications, systems and processes to ensure they meet the required standards and quality. You will work closely with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize defects, and develop test plans and test cases to ensure that defects are properly identified and reported. Your expertise in testing methodologies and tools will help us deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, including experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Appium, and manual testing techniques like exploratory testing. You should also be familiar with Agile development methodologies and have experience working in an iterative development environment. In addition to your technical skills, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. This is a full-time temporary position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.
