Senior QA Engineer & Test Automation (m/w/d)
Job description
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer & Test Automation (m/w/d) for a company in Lüneburg.
The company has been developing software solutions for universities, companies, and hospitals for over 25 years. The tools are established, crisis-proof, and open to innovation.
The QA department is growing together after previously working in silos. We are looking for a personality who creates structure, connects teams, and establishes test automation as a common denominator. The four-person team will be led into a new phase - clear processes, clean documentation, and strong teamwork across three products.
Aufgaben
- Framework for Quality: DoR/DoD, Test types, test environments, acceptance and release criteria - all in one line.
- Test automation further developed: Cypress expanded, API tests strengthened, CI/CD neatly connected.
- Overview maintained: Capacities, priorities, and product needs adjusted with PO, Champion, and Engineering Management.
- Making quality visible: KPIs like Lead Time to Fix, Escape Rate, Coverage or Flakiness defined and reported.
- Leadership that arrives: Coaching, development, exchange - including recruiting impulses and 1:1s
- Enablement as a lever: Guidelines, Reviews, Pairing-Sessions, and Story-Checks for better results throughout the entire development process.
- Hands-on stay: Exploratory testing, test design, ticket analysis, and further development of automated suites.
Qualification
- Quality Engineering is your playground: including a keen eye for team dynamics and ideally leadership experience.
- Test automation you can: UI, API, integration, and Cypress gladly in the toolbox.
- CI/CD, QA metrics, and structured work mastered in your sleep.
- Communication that carries: clear, direct, and in German and English.
- Pleasure in cross-location cooperation.
- Bonus, but not a must: ISTQB, multi-product experience or knowledge in Performance/Security/Accessibility.
Benefits
- Flexible work - remote in Germany, occasional travel by arrangement.
- Time to recharge - 30 vacation days + a half birthday day.
- Attractive overall package - including pension plan and health promotion.
- Mobil & relaxed - job bike, free parking spaces, office deliveries without waiting time.
- Continuing development - trainings, mentoring, and a structured onboarding process.
- Work culture - open atmosphere, short distances, dogs welcome.
