Senior Project Manager Rolling Stock & Maintenance (m/f/d)

The Rolling Stock & Maintenance team ensures that the FlixTrain fleet is reliable, attractive, and economically sound. As a Senior Project Manager Rolling Stock & Maintenance (m/f/d), you will strategically manage important projects related to the FlixTrain fleet – from fleet development and financing initiatives to the procurement of new vehicles. Additionally, you will support all overarching projects in the Rolling Stock and Maintenance area.

About the Role

• You will lead and manage strategic projects in the Rolling Stock and Maintenance area, including prioritization, resource planning, and stakeholder management – in close collaboration with Rolling Stock, Maintenance, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
• You will holistically prepare refurbishment projects for decision-making, considering product attractiveness, commercial implications, and benefits for the overall company.
• You will orchestrate additional financing projects from a business perspective, coordinating internal teams and external capital providers.
• You will technically and economically evaluate market offers for new vehicle fleets and conduct negotiations up to procurement for suitable options.
• To secure capacity and optimize the fleet, you will source and procure additional locomotives.
• You will continuously monitor and analyze the performance of the current fleet and derive strategic recommendations for action from it.
• You will prepare C-level meetings with clearly prepared decision proposals and strategic analyses.

About You

• You have a completed university degree (Master's, Diplom) in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• You possess several years of professional experience in management consulting or strategic project management.
• You have experience in evaluating and procuring vehicles or technical assets, from market analysis to contract conclusion.
• With your strong analytical skills, you can clearly present complex technical and financial matters.
• You are confident at the C-level and impress with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and high initiative help you prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level).
