Senior Project Manager (m/f/d)

You will take over the overarching management of large client accounts with multiple parallel IT and software development projects. You will be responsible for deadlines, budgets, resources, quality, and risks, and will technically lead project managers and project teams.
Your focus will be on robust, cross-project management. You will recognize risks and dependencies early on and intervene specifically when projects go off track. As a central point of contact between clients, project teams, and delivery management, you will ensure that complex client accounts are managed successfully.

• You will manage large client accounts with multiple parallel IT and software development projects and keep an overview of deadlines, budgets, quality, and risks.
• You will manage and support the project teams within your account and promote their professional development within the scope of ongoing projects.
• You will implement effective risk management and ensure that risks, dependencies, and escalations are recognized, assessed, and addressed early on.
• You will create transparency through key figures, forecasts, status reports, and robust decision-making bases.
• You will manage communication with clients at management level and moderate steering committees as well as critical coordination meetings.
• You will coordinate resources and competencies across projects and set clear priorities.
• You will intervene specifically in endangered projects, stabilize management, and then hand over operational responsibility back to the responsible project manager.
• You will support the handover of new projects from sales to delivery and refine scope, expectations, and calculations.
• Together with Delivery Excellence, you will further develop project management standards, methods, and best practices.

• You have several years of experience in managing complex IT projects, programs, or larger client accounts with multiple parallel projects.
• You have extensive experience in project controlling as well as budget and forecast management, risk and escalation management.
• You have experience in the technical leadership and development of project managers as well as interdisciplinary teams.
• You are experienced in managing demanding clients and interacting with management and decision-making levels.
• You are able to quickly grasp critical project situations, initiate appropriate measures, and sustainably stabilize projects.
• You have a solid understanding of software development projects, IT architectures, and modern development processes.
• You think entrepreneurially and understand the economic context of IT projects.
• You have a confident demeanor and convince with strong communication and moderation skills as well as high decision-making security.
• You have very good German language skills, both written and spoken, at at least C1 level.

• You have experience in the IT consulting, software development, or IT service environment.
• You have experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Plane, Moco, or comparable tools.
• You hold certifications such as IPMA, PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or comparable qualifications.
• You have already successfully stabilized critical or escalated IT projects.
• You are interested in current developments in Artificial Intelligence and use modern AI-supported tools to further increase transparency, efficiency, and quality in project and program management.
