Senior Project Commercial Manager (m/f/d) in Plant Engineering

As a Senior Project Commercial Manager (m/f/d), you are an important part of our project teams and act as the commercial partner to project and construction management. You will take on the independent commercial management of demanding construction projects, making a significant contribution to their economic success.

Your responsibilities include in particular:

• Independent commercial processing and management of construction projects of various scales
• Preparation and review of offers, economic feasibility studies, and commercial decision proposals
• Responsibility for proper and timely invoicing, as well as active management and follow-up of outstanding receivables
• Commercial review, monitoring, and management of project-related contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Continuous monitoring and assurance of project liquidity
• Preparation and analysis of monthly reporting as well as regular coordination within project management
• Independent execution of project controlling, including target-actual comparisons, forecasts, and cost and earnings analyses
• Early identification of economic opportunities and risks, as well as derivation of suitable measures
• Responsibility for project-related risk, change, and claim management from a commercial perspective
• Implementation of contract and change order issues and in commercial negotiations
• Ensuring transparent and sound commercial project documentation

• Successfully completed business administration studies or a comparable commercial apprenticeship with sound professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in project business, ideally as a project commercial manager in the construction, plant engineering, or technical services sector
• Experience in the independent commercial support and management of complex projects
• Good technical understanding and the ability to translate technical contexts into economic valuations
• Strong analytical thinking skills, high affinity for numbers, and very good commercial understanding
• Good knowledge of contract law for works and services (Werkvertragsrecht) and the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB)
• Experience in project controlling as well as in risk, change order, and claim management
• Proficient in common MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Ideally, experience with MS Dynamics NAV (Navision) and the industry software ProbauS
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work approach, along with a high degree of responsibility
• Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor towards project partners, subcontractors, and internal interfaces
• High commitment, team spirit, and willingness to take responsibility
• Willingness to travel within the scope of the projects managed
