(Senior) Project Engineer Concept Development (m/f/d)

• You independently develop energy concepts and feasibility studies for sustainable heating and energy supply solutions in the early project phases (HOAI service phases 1–2).
• You technically design heat pumps, heat sources, storage systems, energy centers, and heating and cooling networks, and evaluate different supply concepts.
• You analyze and compare system variants regarding technical feasibility, economic viability, and long-term implementability.
• You create technical decision-making bases, cost estimates, system descriptions, and hydraulic schematics for our projects.
• You consider funding opportunities such as BEW and BEG, as well as relevant standards and regulatory requirements during concept development.
• You work closely with the teams from project development, specialized planning, and project realization, as well as external planning partners.
• Prospectively, you will take on further planning services in HOAI service phases 3–4 and advance your concepts through to design and permit planning.

• You have completed a degree in energy, utility, building, environmental, or process engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
• You have at least three years of professional experience in the conception, planning, or design of heating and energy systems.
• You have independently conceptualized heat pump projects and possess sound knowledge of heating, cooling, and plant engineering.
• You are very familiar with HOAI service phases 1–2 and ideally have already gained experience in service phases 3–4.
• You understand economic interrelationships and can evaluate technical concepts from a cost and funding perspective.
• You have experience in the technical design, simulation, or planning of energy systems.
• You have a good understanding of hydraulic systems and their interfaces with building services, measurement and control technology, electrical engineering, and construction.
• Ideally, you have already worked with simulation and planning tools such as EnergyPRO, Polysun, or comparable applications.
• You work in a structured manner, think solution-oriented, and enjoy driving technical concepts forward independently.
• You want to actively shape the heating transition and develop sustainable energy projects from the initial idea to an implementable solution.
