Senior Project Manager - Substations

The Hunter Transmission Project is a critical infrastructure initiative supporting the future of energy in New South Wales. As part of the project delivery phase, the focus is on enabling safe, timely, and efficient construction through effective land access, property management, and stakeholder engagement. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, complex project that plays a pivotal role in strengthening the electricity network and supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy future. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver this critical infrastructure project, ensuring timely and within budget delivery, while maintaining high levels of stakeholder satisfaction. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and budgets; • Coordinating and managing the activities of multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and external partners; • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures; • Providing expert advice and guidance to project team members; • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups; • Identifying and mitigating risks and issues that may impact the project's success; • Developing and implementing strategies for effective communication and stakeholder engagement; • Ensuring the project is delivered in accordance with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, construction management, or a related discipline) and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. A Master's degree or higher is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also be required to hold a valid driver's license and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
