Senior Project Manager

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the comprehensive management of strategic automation, digitalization, and technology integration projects for clients in Latin America, ensuring the achievement of scope, time, cost, quality, and profitability objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic regional clients, strengthening business relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Actively participate in the development of commercial proposals, reviewing and validating technical and economic proposals for regional projects of high complexity or financial impact.
  • Manage relationships with business partners, integrators, contractors, and strategic international suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual and operational commitments.
  • Manage projects from pre-sales to project closure using SICK's corporate tools, such as SAP and CRM.
  • Direct and administer human, technical, and material resources allocated to the project, ensuring efficient execution according to established plans.
  • Supervise the comprehensive progress of the project, ensuring the achievement of defined objectives, timelines, and results, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements and expectations of internal and external clients, ensuring correct alignment with the project's contractual scope.
  • Control and track the project's budget, timeline, and financial performance, establishing recovery plans for cost or time deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality standards defined for the project and its alignment with the criteria established in the scope statement and corporate policies.
  • Coordinate and monitor the performance of multidisciplinary teams involved in project execution, evaluating activities, progress, and results.
  • Continuously identify, analyze, and monitor risks associated with project execution, implementing preventive and corrective actions, and promptly communicating identified risks to the project team through corresponding management tools.
  • Ensure the correct formalization, validation, and acceptance of project deliverables and products with the client, in accordance with the scope defined in the commercial proposal and/or contract.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering department in the evaluation of new technologies and in the analysis of feasibility for their implementation within projects.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal areas involved in the project, through follow-up meetings and executive reports.
  • Prepare, analyze, and validate progress, performance, and general status reports for timely decision-making.
  • Organize and lead project follow-up, review, and control meetings with clients and internal areas, ensuring compliance with established commitments and agreements.
  • Comply with and ensure adherence to the Quality Management System guidelines, as well as SICK's corporate policies, procedures, and standards.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Experience:

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in project management. Experience in the logistics industry is valued.


Education:

  • Industrial Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Control and Automation Engineering, or similar.
  • Specialization in Project Management is essential: Master's degree in Project Management or PMP Certification.


LANGUAGE:

  • Advanced English. Portuguese desirable.


KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of photoelectric, inductive, laser, vision sensors, etc.
  • Knowledge of digital communication protocols.
  • Knowledge in electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and installation schematics.
  • Basic use and handling of Autocad.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
