Senior Project Manager
Job description
RPO's client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Cape Town within the environmental engineering sector. This role requires an individual who can lead complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project goals are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts efficiently.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for executive management.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in the marine or environmental engineering sector is a plus.
