(Senior) Project Manager Post Merger Integration [m/f/d]

When GBC Group acquires a company, the real work only begins afterwards: merging structures, establishing standards, leading, making results visible. This role is precisely where you come in. You are the link between the group's strategic agenda and the operational reality in the subsidiaries and are responsible for turning goals into actual results.

You act not as a consultant who makes recommendations and leaves, but as someone who works with the local managing directors to create implementations, factors in resistance, and still delivers. Your contribution will help determine how quickly and successfully an integration succeeds.

• You translate the group's strategic goals into concrete, measurable projects together with the local management
• You analyze, define, and plan improvement initiatives, for example, to increase operational utilization, build leadership and reporting structures, optimize and standardize processes, or introduce IT systems, and consistently track their implementation to completion
• You actively shape project-related communication and proactively manage stakeholders rather than reacting to resistance
• You spar with and coach managing directors and executives at eye level – even if it means addressing uncomfortable points
• You develop PMI blueprints and standards together with the GBC Group management that can be reused for future integrations
• You report transparently to the GBC Group management and escalate risks early

• Structured way of working and a high affinity for numbers
• Consulting background from process, strategy, or IT consulting
• Strong leadership and assertiveness skills, leadership experience
• Project management experience in complex change and implementation projects
• Experience in post-merger integration projects, operational excellence
• Communication skills with a clear focus on the essential
• Affinity for information technology, especially AI systems
• Willingness to travel and a driver's license class B

• Expert knowledge in M365, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
• Completed studies in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or equivalent

• You work with a high degree of personal responsibility and correspondingly little control over details – we expect you to deliver results, not to prove you are busy
• Your development with us depends on what you achieve, not on titles or length of service
• Reporting and decision-making processes are short and direct, including to management
• You can work remotely for up to 20% of your working time; the majority of your time will be spent where the projects are running – at the subsidiaries in Northern Germany
• Performance-oriented culture: development, promotion, and appreciation are based on actual performance
