Senior Project Manager – (EPC)

ECI Projects is a Romanian project management, design, and execution (EPC) company in the energy sector. We develop and build wind farms (WF) and photovoltaic farms (PV), including hybrid plants with storage, for private investors and public authorities. Our ongoing portfolio includes wind farms, photovoltaic farms, and storage installations (BESS)

We are expanding our Project Management department and are looking for a Senior Project Manager to autonomously lead large projects from permitting to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the allocated wind and photovoltaic projects throughout their lifecycle: land acquisition, grid connection, permitting, financing, design, procurement, execution, commissioning, and handover
• Build and update each project plan (schedule, milestones, dependencies) and periodically report the status, risks, and necessary decisions to management and investors
• Act as the interface with clients, financiers, designers, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers: wind turbines, modules and inverters, transformers, MV/HV cells
• For wind projects, coordinate the logistics of oversized transport, foundations, access roads, crane pads, and turbine erection
• For photovoltaic projects, coordinate the installation of structures, modules, and inverters, cable networks, and connection stations
• Manage the relationship with distribution and transmission operators (DEER, DEO, Transelectrica): grid connection agreements, connection contracts, approvals, documentation for commissioning
• Follow up on obtaining urban planning certificates (CU), approvals, and building permits, together with the technical team
• Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors; manage scope changes and potential claims
• Control the project budget, cash flow, and costs; prepare progress payment requests and payment documents
• Mentor junior members of the project team

Requirements

• Higher technical education (energy, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or similar)
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure
• Direct experience in managing utility-scale wind and/or photovoltaic projects (over 10 MW)
• Knowledge of the permitting and grid connection process in Romania (Law 50/1991, ANRE regulations)
• Experience in administering EPC / FIDIC contracts – constitutes a significant advantage
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, with firm deadlines
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, authorities, banks, and subcontractors
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (especially Excel); experience with MS Project or Jira is a plus
• English language, advanced level (contracts and correspondence with international turbine and equipment suppliers)
• Category B driving license and availability for travel
• PMP / PRINCE2 / IPMA certification – constitutes an advantage
