Senior Project Manager Digital Platform Automotive (m/f/d)

About the Role
We are looking for you as a Senior Project Manager for our major client in the automotive sector at the Hamburg location. Since you hold the communication strings internally and externally and sit directly at the table with the client, fluent German is your absolute prerequisite for this role. Your focus is one hundred percent on the support, maintenance, and editorial further development of complex digital web platforms. You are responsible for the long-term and sustainable operation of our digital products. As a Senior, you are the strategic and organizational backbone for our content teams and UX designers, ensuring that new content is structured, reviewed, and goes live on time.

Your Tasks
You will take over the operational management and strategic planning of large digital maintenance projects as well as worldwide content rollouts. In doing so, you will act as a central and sovereign interface between the client, the creative department, and the editorial teams.
Your daily work is characterized by agile methods. You translate complex content requirements into clear task packages, manage the backlog, and coordinate sprints reliably via Jira. For clean documentation and transparent knowledge transfer, you use Confluence.
You have a deep understanding of Content Management Systems and manage the continuous maintenance and editorial population of the platform. For you, quality is not a coincidence. You plan comprehensive approvals for text input and image material and do not go live with new pages that do not meet our high standards.
You always keep an eye on timings, resources, and budgets for the continuous support of the platform. As a Senior, you keep a cool head even in stressful phases and safely guide your project team through complex publication processes.

• Experience: You have many years of experience in digital project management, having been primarily responsible for managing large web platforms or editorial rollouts.
• Platform Knowledge: You have excellent knowledge of modern Content Management Systems and understand the processes behind successful digital editorial work and platform maintenance.
• Agility: You are an absolute professional in dealing with agile working methods and routinely manage workflows via Jira and Confluence.
• Leadership: You speak the language of content creators just as fluently as that of clients. You present yourself with absolute confidence and lead your project team with clear direction.
• Work Style: You work in an extremely structured manner, have a high degree of solution orientation, and always remain calm during extensive content rollouts.
• Language: In addition to your fluent German, you also communicate confidently and assertively in English.
