For the further expansion of this growth area, we are looking for you as soon as possible as a (Senior) Project Engineer - Technical Planning (m/f/d) – Utility-Scale Photovoltaics & BESS as part of a highly motivated and innovative team.

• You will be responsible for the planning of utility-scale photovoltaic farms with battery storage systems – from project development to commissioning.
• You will be responsible for the creation, review, and approval of planning documents for PV and BESS systems.
• You will optimize plant designs in terms of yield, CAPEX, OPEX, as well as constructability and operability, and evaluate new technologies, components, and system solutions.
• You will support project teams in the tendering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases with your technical expertise.
• You will support the improvement of our engineering standards, design guidelines, and implement best practices.
• You will conduct technical reviews, plausibility checks, and quality audits, analyze root causes of errors, and derive sustainable improvement measures.
• Ideally, after a thorough onboarding, you will take on the technical leadership of internal planning teams and the management of external engineering firms, and be a key contact person for technical queries.

• Engineering degree, e.g., in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Renewable Energies, or Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the technical planning of utility-scale PV projects in the MW range.
• Experience with utility-scale BESS systems is a clear plus.
• Very good understanding of DC and AC side plant design, as well as relevant standards, guidelines, and grid connection requirements.
• Proficient in the use of planning and simulation software, such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVcase, or comparable tools.
• Analytical, structured, and with a high degree of quality awareness.
• Experience in the technical leadership of internal teams and/or in managing external engineering firms and planning partners is also a clear plus.
• Experience in the development of standards, design guidelines, and quality requirements.
• Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as proficiency in Microsoft 365.
