Senior Project Engineer - Substation & HV Automation

A global technology leader is looking for a Senior Project Engineer in Midvaal Local Municipality, South Africa. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in high voltage protection and control system engineering, ensuring compliance with regulations and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Control and have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the SAS/SCADA domain. Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans is required. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include: • Designing, developing, testing, and commissioning substation automation systems; • Developing and maintaining SAS/SCADA systems; • Conducting site visits and performing on-site maintenance and troubleshooting; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery; • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers; • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
