Senior Project Engineer - Road Design

You are an experienced engineer in the field of transportation looking for new stimulating challenges?

We offer you the opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team, where you will have the chance to lead major projects from planning to realization. As a project leader, you will have the opportunity to work on ambitious initiatives both in the Greater Montreal area and across Quebec and Canada. These projects include the development of structuring public transportation modes for different sectors of Montreal, the transformation of the Bonaventure highway into a major urban boulevard, major projects for Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, without forgetting the redevelopment of several road and highway sections and interchanges. You may also contribute to other major projects such as the Lac-Mégantic railway bypass or numerous major projects in the national capital or Greater Toronto area.

Main responsibilities

  • Act as a technical leader, transfer knowledge, determine project needs, coordinate studies and plans and estimates, write technical reports and determine construction costs.
  • Suggest solutions related to the problems encountered and take all necessary measures to ensure the advancement of work according to schedule.
  • Work closely with other disciplines involved (civil engineering, transportation, architecture, environment, signaling, lighting, etc.) to ensure an integrated and effective approach.
  • Prioritize meetings with clients (alone or accompanied depending on project complexity and client type), follow up and provide feedback.
  • Coordinate the execution of work by deciding how equipment, materials, and related resources should be used and ensuring resource utilization in collaboration with directors.
  • Manage deliverables, budgets, schedules, human resources, approvals for project changes, and financial tracking of TEC and CAR files under your responsibility.
  • Participate in writing ODS and budgeting.
  • Manage the development and follow-up of the group for integrating new operational systems or others such as SSE, ISO, Office 365.
