Job description
For a major international company active in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for a Senior Project Developer with solid experience in the development of wind projects in Italy.
The candidate will directly manage project development, primarily located in Central and Southern Italy, guiding them through the entire process until they reach the Ready-to-Build status. The role also involves participation in project acquisition and sale operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the development of wind projects through all phases, until Ready-to-Build status is achieved.
- Coordinate permitting processes and liaise with public bodies, local authorities, landowners, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor technical, permitting, contractual, and design aspects, ensuring adherence to planned timelines.
- Evaluate the technical and permitting feasibility of new opportunities.
- Participate in M&A activities related to the acquisition and sale of projects.
- Support and manage due diligence processes, transactions, and negotiations with involved parties.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements related to project development.
- Collaborate with technical teams and involved internal and international functions.
- Oversee projects located mainly in Central and Southern Italy.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector.
- Significant and proven experience in the development of wind projects.
- Solid technical background.
- Direct experience in project management until Ready-to-Build status is achieved.
- Experience in acquisition and sale operations of renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of due diligence processes, negotiation, and transaction management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and relationships with institutions, consultants, and counterparties.
- High level of autonomy and ability to take responsibility for project-related decisions.
- Professional knowledge of the English language.
Role Information
- Location: Rome, with three days per week in the office.
- Direct reporting to the Country Manager.
- Individual contributor position, with no direct team management responsibilities.
