Senior Project Accountant / Senior Project Controller / Project Accountant Lead

We are currently strengthening our finance team and are looking for someone for the position of:

Senior Project Accountant / Senior Project Controller / Project Accountant Lead (m/f)

Location: Krakow (hybrid work: 3 days in the office, 2 days remotely)

Reporting to: Headquarters in the USA.

In connection with the takeover of accounting functions from the headquarters in the USA to Poland, we are strengthening the finance team and are looking for an experienced specialist in project accounting control (Project Accounting / Project Controlling). This is not a typical SSC – it is a role with a real impact on the financial results of large engineering projects, with daily contact with the American headquarters.

We are looking for you if you have:

Education.

- Higher education in a relevant field (finance, accounting, economics, or related).

- Professional qualifications are welcome (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or in progress).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a position related to project accounting, project controlling, or as a Senior Project Accountant / Project Controller.

- Knowledge of US GAAP – this is a big advantage.

️ Experience in financial oversight of projects – from budgeting to final settlement.

Core Skills.

- English language proficiency at a minimum B2/C1 level – daily contact with the headquarters in the USA.

- Very good knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.

Additional Assets. Work organization.

- Independence, responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Main tasks:

Comprehensive accounting and financial control of ongoing business projects – from the planning phase to closure.

Preparation and analysis of project financial reports for the headquarters in the USA.

Support for audits and tax reporting.

Participation in month-end and year-end closing processes – provisions, accruals, reconciliations.

Collaboration with project and operational teams in terms of budgeting and cost forecasting.
