Senior Programmer (m/f/d) / Computer Scientist for Embedded Controllers (m/f/d)

Our products are used in safety-critical applications and are utilized worldwide by authorities and armed forces. Simultaneously, we also develop and produce systems for civilian application areas and collaborate with international partner companies.

At our Weißenseer Weg location, we operate a modern campus with quiet rooms, a fitness area including showers, and an open campus kitchen.

To strengthen our development department, we are immediately seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) on a full-time basis. You will play a central role in the development of complex embedded systems for real-time image processing in performance- and safety-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• You will develop concepts and architectures for embedded systems for real-time image processing in low-power thermal imaging systems

• You will program embedded controllers (STM32 / ARM Cortex-M) and optimize existing firmware

• You will develop and integrate algorithms for image processing, data compression, and data streaming

• You will participate in the development of system architectures for Embedded Linux or RTOS-based platforms

• You will assume technical project responsibility and coordinate development projects with internal and external partners

• You will work closely with hardware development, external institutes, and service providers

• You will create and maintain technical project documentation

• You have completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification

• You have several years of professional experience in embedded software development

• You have very good knowledge of C/C++ and embedded system architectures

• You ideally have experience with Embedded Linux and/or Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

• You have experience in image processing, ideally including algorithms, streaming, or data compression

• Knowledge in the field of AI-supported image processing is an advantage

• Experience in hardware-related development (e.g., sensor technology, understanding of circuits) is desirable

• You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and take responsibility

• You have very good German language skills, both written and spoken (at least C1)
