Aufgaben

In this role, you will be responsible for designing our new products - with a strong focus on concept development & design for manufacturing.

You will work closely with our Product Management team and develop product concepts tailored to the Funzy target group. Specifically:

• Product ideas & trend analysis: You translate relevant trends and insights into new product ideas – fitting the Funzy brand world. You define looks & feels and translate these into mood boards that clearly differentiate our products.
• Concept development: You create and refine concepts – from quick sketches to detailed 3D models.
• Comprehensive product development: You accompany prototype phases of new products from research to the final sample, ensuring design details and quality standards are considered throughout the prototyping process.
• Collaboration with suppliers: You work closely with suppliers to bring your concepts into production-ready solutions.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration: You collaborate closely with Product Management and Marketing.

Qualifikation

• Completed studies in the field of product, industrial, or furniture design
• At least 3+ years of professional experience in the lifestyle or interior sector, ideally with expertise in the furniture industry
• First experiences with children's products are desirable
• A strong sense of color, haptic, material, and form language
• A very good understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) & ideally experience influencing color, material, and finish on manufacturability, scalability, and costs
• Safe handling in 3D modeling and CAD visualizations
• Experience in communication and coordination with international suppliers
• A structured, pragmatic working style and enjoyment of quick decisions in the D2C/E-commerce environment
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills in writing and speaking
