Senior Production Leader: Lean Manufacturing & TPM

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the production team, ensuring compliance with lean manufacturing principles and total productive maintenance (TPM) best practices. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing daily operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment • Maintaining high levels of food safety standards and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry guidelines • Managing a team of production supervisors, quality control inspectors, and other support staff • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction • Providing coaching and guidance to team members to ensure effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Identifying and addressing potential risks and opportunities for improvement in the production process • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase customer satisfaction • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements • Maintaining accurate records and reports of production performance, quality control, and other key metrics • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of new processes and procedures. • A degree in Engineering or a related field (NQF Level 7) is required. Significant managerial experience in FMCG and food manufacturing is essential.
