Senior Product Manager Service Cockpit (m/f/d)

Full Time Senior

Job description

We are looking for

… as a Senior Product Manager:in Service Cockpit, you will develop an internally tested prototype into a productive application. This will allow our service technicians to check heat pumps remotely, pinpoint errors faster, and make secure settings.
Your goal: fewer on-site visits and a tool that truly helps in daily service.

You will combine data from different manufacturer worlds and build the product yourself, with AI as your development team. You will specify, design, build, launch, and operate it. There is no dedicated development team for this role, and there will not be one. If you want to write and hand over tickets, this is the wrong place.

If you enjoy this

  • building the Service Cockpit together with our technicians from discovery to operation, developing the internally tested read-only prototype into a stable productive application in short cycles, and defining the technical foundation yourself
  • defining a canonical data model for our own heat pump platform as well as the Buderus and LG systems and implementing it with our data team
  • clarifying missing measurement values, unclear error codes, technical data gaps, and missing access with Analytics, HEMS, Platform, IT, Security, and the manufacturers
  • building secure write access for selected settings, coordinating roles and permissions, and automating recurring maintenance tasks remotely
  • working on real cases with our technicians, measuring avoided journeys and the first-time fix rate, and then expanding the platform: with customer reporting, predictive maintenance in collaboration with our data science team, further asset classes, a native app, and integration into our service processes

And recognize yourself here

  • Experience & Ownership: You bring at least five years of experience in digital product management, product engineering, or with data products. You have brought products to productive use yourself, taken responsibility for an unfinished product, set your own priorities, and measured whether your solution actually improved something in everyday use.
  • Build Experience: You have independently built functional applications with AI coding tools. In the interview, you will show us what you have developed and explain your technical decisions.
  • Data Understanding: You can familiarize yourself with unknown sensor, time-series, and API data, identify and name interrelationships, and specify which values or access are missing. SQL and BI tools are part of your daily work. You don't have to solve every data problem alone. You will solve it with AI, our data team, and Tech, and you will know what to request from them.
  • Product Judgment: You develop professional user interfaces for people working under time pressure. You derive your decisions from the technicians' tasks, not from the fields that a system randomly provides.
  • Interface Work: You have procured data or access from manufacturers, service providers, or internal platform teams, and you have maintained an overview even in the face of resistance.
  • Heat Pump Expertise: Heat pump expertise is not a prerequisite. No one will simultaneously be an expert in three manufacturer worlds. We need someone who can recognize what is happening in the data and ask the right questions. You will build up the technical depth in the first few months. Time is allocated for this.
  • Languages: You speak very good English and at least German at B2 level.
