Senior Product Manager / Product Lead - AI & Agentic Workflows (m/w/d)

Overview

We are on the verge of the greatest transformation in the history of the service market, from legal to consulting and agencies. And the billion-dollar PR market is right in the middle. getpress, one of the fastest-growing PR agencies in Germany (>40 people, clients like Trivago, Komoot, Fonio AI or AutoScout24) has decided not to wait for this change, but to lead it. We are building the PR company of the future: no longer just a service company, but a service-software company.

Our own AI team is being established. We are hiring the first developers, the architecture is in place, and some internal systems are already running within the team. What's missing now is you: the person who thinks about this as a product, sets the direction, and builds something really big.

Your Role

• You take over the product vision for our AI development. A lot of green space, but no blank slate. The foundations are in place, now you decide what will emerge from it in the next few years.
• You lead our AI team (currently 2 developers + Ops), which will grow prospectively, both professionally and disciplinarily.
• You design workflows for our PR teams, where humans and AI work together. Where machines automate, where does the human decide? You reduce complexity to clear logic and precise processes.
• You measure what you build. Our AI systems must make the working day of our teams more concrete and measurable efficient. You define the KPIs, track the impact, and iterate based on data, not gut feeling.
• You drive development cycles: hypothesis → build → measure → iterate, in weeks, not quarters.
• You work directly with the management team together, which is actively driving this topic forward.
• You carry technical decisions: architecture, technology selection, quality assurance, and on an equal footing with engineering.
• Potentially: You shape our “PR AI” so that it functions perfectly internally today and is designed for future opening to the outside and scaling.

Who you are

• You have already built a product from scratch and know what it feels like. You were in an environment where speed counts (Startup or Scale-up). You understand what current AI technology can and cannot do. You don't need to code yourself, but you discuss with engineers on an equal footing.

Whether you have an MBA or used to work at McKinsey is irrelevant to us. We are looking for builders, not slide architects.
In detail:
• more than 3 years of experience in product management of tech products or complex web applications
• disciplinary leadership experience (at least 2 direct reports, at least 1 year)
• demonstrable experience with AI/ML in a product context
• ideally Startup- or Scale-up-background
• German language skills on C2 level
• technical understanding: data models, APIs, architecture discussions

What awaits you

• 80–100k annual salary, dependent on experience
• Remote within Germany or hybrid in Berlin (office in Kreuzberg)
• 27 days, 32 days per year from the second year, unlimited from the third year
