Senior Product Manager - Core Engine (m/f/d)

Full Time Senior

Job description

Our client develops innovative decision intelligence software for data-driven decisions and complex operational processes. The goal is to help organizations make dependencies transparent, evaluate options, and make decisions whose logic and assumptions are understandable at all times. To achieve this, a powerful core technology is being built that combines structured knowledge, logical reasoning, planning, and AI components.

As a Senior Product Manager, you are the crucial link between market needs, customer insights, and technical implementation strength. Your mission: to deliver a rapidly evolving, market-oriented product that perfectly balances business value, product vision, and technical feasibility. You will manage the product lifecycle from the initial idea to product-market fit, working cross-functionally with software development, data science, sales, and management. This role is ideal for someone who has already successfully done this: building and scaling products in a startup environment.

Your Challenges:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Leading the product strategy in alignment with business goals and translating the vision into actionable plans.

  • Product-Market Fit: Guiding the product from problem fit through solution fit to product-market fit using lean, hypothesis-driven, and iterative methods.

  • MVP & Delivery: Defining MVPs, rapidly testing assumptions, shortening time-to-value, and continuously delivering features that solve real user problems.

  • Discovery & Research: Conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews (e.g., "Jobs to be Done") to identify growth opportunities.

  • Backlog & Prioritization: Translating complex data into intuitive product features, collaborating with development and data science teams, and utilizing frameworks (e.g., WSJF, RICE) for maximized impact alignment per release.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining clear, realistic roadmaps and ensuring stakeholder alignment through transparent, consistent communication, demos, and ROI updates.

  • KPI Tracking: Tracking and analyzing key lifecycle KPIs (including conversion, adoption, churn, NPS, MRR/ARR, CAC, and feature ROI).

  • Go-to-Market Support: Assisting with product positioning, pricing, and messaging in close collaboration with sales and marketing.

  • Prototyping & Tech Feasibility: Managing lightweight prototypes/demos in early stages (including coordinating external developers) and assessing technical feasibility and implementation trade-offs.

  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in product management, ideally in a technology- or data-driven B2B startup environment.

  • Track Record: Proven success in guiding a product from scratch through MVP to scaling (preferably in the context of SaaS, AI, or PropTech).

  • Methods & Tools: Solid knowledge of product discovery, agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and user story creation; practical experience with Jira, Figma, Notion, SQL, BI tools, and A/B testing.

  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong understanding of product analytics, business value drivers, and prioritization frameworks (e.g., WSJF, RICE); ability to make clear decisions under uncertainty and to perform strategic pivots when needed.

  • Technical Fluency: Solid understanding of software development workflows and architecture, and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and data science teams.

  • Hands-on Mindset: Ability to create quick, functional prototypes using no-code/low-code tools or simple scripts, and experience collaborating with external developers.

  • Soft Skills & Leadership: Excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder management, growth mindset, and high self-responsibility.

  • Languages: Fluent German and English skills (at least B2 level).

Why us?

  • Impact from Day 1: Become part of a mission-driven team where your ideas and skills shape real products from the ground up.

  • Autonomy: Short decision-making paths and high self-responsibility in a highly collaborative work environment.

  • Development: Targeted investment in your professional and personal development through training and mentoring.
