Senior Product Manager Claims (m/f/d/x)
Job description
YOUR ROLE
In the event of a claim, it is decided whether an insurer keeps its promise of performance. As Senior Product Manager Claims (m/f/d/x), you will take on end-to-end responsibility for a strategic core area of the EMIL Insurance Suite and shape how insurers handle claims digitally, automatically, and customer-friendly, from reporting to payout. If you want to take a product strategically and operationally to the next level, this is your role.
WHAT AWAITS YOU
- Develop a clear vision and prioritized roadmap for the Claims area and drive product success as an engine, from first notification of loss (FNOL) to payout.
- Shape the automation of the claims process: rule-based and AI-supported claims processing, straight-through processing, and efficient workflows through to settlement and payout.
- Drive structured discovery processes and write razor-sharp requirements so that we can ship quickly and in high quality together with Engineering & QA.
- Actively integrate AI into your daily work to operate at a higher level, e.g., with structured prompts for quick prototypes, automated pipelines for user feedback, or data-driven specs.
- Communicate priorities crystal clear to leadership and customers and measure the success of your features data-driven, always with the voice of the user in mind.
- Design seamless collaboration in the claims process for all stakeholders, from status communication and task management to dynamic document templates.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in product management in a B2B SaaS, InsurTech, or FinTech environment; experience with claims processes or core systems of insurance companies is a strong plus.
- Strong operational drive and clear outcome orientation: You will take on real ownership from day one and drive initiatives to successful implementation.
- AI Fluency: You can demonstrably show how AI has made your work measurably faster or better in recent months (e.g., reusable prompts, AI-supported data analysis, automated workflows).
- Sound knowledge of agile frameworks and requirements engineering as well as confident use of common PM tools (Jira, Figma, Analytics).
- Excellent analytical skills and fluent German and English (C1) to confidently mediate between tech and business.
WHAT WE OFFER
- An attractive salary package that is based on your experience, qualifications, and responsibility
- A remote-friendly work model with occasional travel to our Berlin office
- 30 days of vacation, plus we give you half a day off on December 24th + 31st
- A personal development budget of at least €500, potentially more, with which we invest in your further development together
- Exciting opportunities for internal development thanks to a fixed role development model, fixed feedback cycles, and performance reviews.
- A company subsidy for Urban Sports Club membership to support your work-life balance
- A highly subsidized company pension plan, with which we optimally secure your future together
- A VSOP program, with which you as an employee can also benefit from the company's success
- We offer you modern hardware, you decide whether Windows or iOS
- With weekly company lunches and a well-stocked snack bar, everything is available for that little hunger in between
- As part of a dynamic and motivated team of experts, you directly benefit from the knowledge of your colleagues, because team spirit and mutual support are an essential part of our culture
