We are traide AI – a VC-funded B2B deep tech startup from Berlin. With AI, we solve one of the most underestimated yet critical challenges in international trade: customs compliance. Our software automates product classification, reduces regulatory errors, and helps customers save up to 83% of their time.
Brands like BMW, Koro, and Jack Wolfskin already trust us. In the last 12 months, we have grown 4x – and we are just getting started.

• Own the complete loop. Take a user problem from a rough idea to the delivered interface: write a brief, design a flow, prototype, and ship, with as few handoffs as possible.
• Use AI as a force multiplier. Explore and prototype with AI tools, Figma, or code, whatever leads to the goal fastest. Your taste is the decisive layer: you recognize when AI-generated UI is wrong, even if it looks right, and you correct it.
• Solve from first principles. Think about the right interaction for the user problem, rather than reaching for the component library.
• Take care of the last 10%. The details that others overlook make a compliance product trustworthy.
• Work in small, focused pods. No hierarchy levels, no waiting. You work closely with two or three people who share the same model.
• Be measurable by results. Know the metric that drives your team. Measure your week by what has changed for users, not by delivered screens.
• Go beyond design. Read the API spec, talk directly to users, build in code if it's faster than Figma.

Craftsmanship in design is the baseline here, not a bonus. What sets you apart is breadth and judgment: you know what "great" looks like, you notice when something looks right but feels wrong, and you guide a team there.

• Very good English skills (C1 or better) are a prerequisite. German is a plus, but not a must.
• Genuine design craftsmanship with a track record: You have shipped interfaces that real users could operate without explanation, and you can name the metric that moved as a result.
• Strong visual sense, high standards, and an eye for detail.
• Breadth across design, product, and engineering: You have gone from a user problem to a testable prototype without waiting for a brief and have built something real with AI coding tools. You are not reliant on an engineer to implement your vision.
• You have built personal AI workflows that make you noticeably faster and know when to trust, edit, or discard AI output.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity: You ship, gather signals, and iterate, rather than waiting for full clarity.
• You can show your work (portfolio or examples).
• Ideally, you have worked on products where errors have real consequences (Fintech, Healthtech, Logistics, Compliance), but this is not a must.
• You are in Berlin or willing to relocate.

• You want a PM to define the problem and an engineer to build the solution.
• You resist working with code or AI.
• You hand over polished Figma files and consider your job done.
• You measure yourself only by your taste, not by results.
