Senior Procurement Officer - Food Manufacturing

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join our client's organization in the food production industry. As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies necessary for food production. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and the ability to negotiate favorable terms while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. * Manage the entire procurement cycle, from sourcing and vendor selection to contract negotiation and order placement. * Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality, safety, and sustainability standards. * Negotiate pricing, contracts, and other terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions. * Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, quality control, and finance, to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies. * Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. * Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. * Manage and mentor junior procurement staff. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the food manufacturing industry. * Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques. * Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
