Senior Procurement and Contract Manager

Closing date: 11 September 2025 Salary Scale: £59,031 - £70,000 per annum What is the purpose of this job? We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Procurement and Contract Manager to lead the delivery of high-value, complex procurement and contract management activities across a broad range of categories. This is a strategic leadership role, key to ensuring RDG achieves value for money, compliance with public sector regulations, and strong supplier performance across all categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. This role will also involve building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, internal customers, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. The role will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend work, to meet the needs of the business.
