Senior / Principal Consultant – Business Functional Analyst Reporting & MIS (Private Banking)

Shape the future of management reporting in Private Banking. Together with leading financial institutions, you will develop modern reporting and steering solutions, translate complex business requirements into functional concepts, and support the transformation of management information systems on a global level.
Your Role
As a Senior / Principal Consultant, you will take on a central role in the functional conception and further development of modern reporting and management information systems for Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management. You will act as a Business Functional Analyst at the interface between Business, Data, and IT, ensuring that functional requirements are translated into sustainable reporting and steering solutions. You will advise our clients on defining banking-specific KPIs, further developing reporting processes, and modernizing existing MIS landscapes. In addition to your technical expertise, you will actively contribute to client development, project management, and the further development of our Banking Consulting expertise.
Your Tasks
- Consulting international banks on the further development of management information systems and reporting landscapes
- Taking on functional responsibility as a Business Functional Analyst between the business unit, data, and IT
- Definition, harmonization, and further development of banking-specific KPIs for Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management
- Translation of complex business requirements into functional concepts, reporting logic, and functional requirements
- Analysis and optimization of reporting processes and data journeys along the entire reporting value chain
- Conducting and moderating workshops with business units and senior stakeholders
- Managing functional requirements in international transformation and cloud migration projects
- Support with testing, KPI validation, and the introduction of new reporting solutions
Your Profile
- At least 5–6 years of experience in consulting or in the business unit of a private bank
- Sound experience in the reporting, MIS, or management information system environment
- Deep understanding of products and processes in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Retail Banking
- Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in regulatory or functional transformation projects
- Very good knowledge of banking-specific KPIs, management reporting, and sales steering
- Experience in collaborating with business, data, and IT stakeholders
- Experience in moderating workshops and in stakeholder management at management level
- Analytical and structured approach to work, as well as strong consulting skills
- Fluent German and English skills
Nice to have
- Experience in the transformation of global reporting and MIS landscapes
- Experience in migrating MIS/reporting systems
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern BI architectures
- Experience with stakeholder management at top management level
- Background in Private Banking / Wealth Management Reporting
- Implementation of effective technology solutions for leading financial institutions
