Senior PMO Railinfra

To guarantee the long-term availability, reliability, and safety of the rail infrastructure, extensive projects and programs are planned for the coming years. One of the most important tasks is the replacement, expansion, and new construction of over 40 rectifier substations. For this task, a collaborative partner has been contracted in 2026, and preparations are underway in construction teams. Within this extensive and technically complex task, the Project Bureau fulfills a guiding and connecting role. The Senior PMO supports program managers and project teams in creating overview and predictability. The role is broadly deployable across multiple programs and projects.

This is what you will do

You are the organizational engine that ensures teams can function smoothly. You see where bottlenecks arise and take initiative in a dynamic playing field. The common thread in your work is to bring structure, proactively organize processes, and make information accessible.

Your tasks include:

• Developing and improving steering information and management reports for projects and programs.
• Monitoring coherence between processes and projects. Steering on planning, dependencies, risks, and progress.
• Preparing and organizing (steering committee) meetings, creating minutes, and monitoring follow-up of action points.
• Connecting stakeholders and supporting teams in collaboration and communication.
• Maintaining resource overviews and capacity planning, identifying bottlenecks, and advising on them.
• Organizing workshops and (information) meetings.
• Onboarding/offboarding team members.
• Improving and professionalizing PMO processes, working methods, and standards. Facilitating knowledge sharing within programs and projects.

In short, you ensure a streamlined progress in all projects and programs you are involved in.

• You work independently and have a minimum of HBO (Higher Professional Education) work and thinking level.
• Experience as PMO or in an execution program or project, preferably in a technical environment.
• Experience with tools like MS Office, SharePoint, and project planning software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• You can quickly switch between strategy, tactics, and operations.
• You can improvise, are flexible, and get things done.

• A salary of at least € 3,553 and a maximum of € 5,081 (scale 9) based on 36 hours. Placement will be based on education and work experience.
