We currently have an opening for a Senior PLC Engineer (m/w/d) - Herford.
Aufgaben
- Development, programming, and optimization of SPS- and visualization solutions (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal) including test and documentation
- Carrying out commissioning in the factory (FAT) as well as worldwide at customer sites (IBN), including parameterization of components (e.g. frequency converters, EVGs)
- Ensuring functionality by comparing with customer requirements and configuring systems in close coordination with project management and electrical planning
- Analyzing, systematic error search, and sustainable troubleshooting of disturbances in customer projects
- Creating function descriptions, technical documentation, and supporting the development of customer concepts
- Techincal coordination with customers as well as support for sales in project acquisition (e.g. system design and clarifications)
- Reviewing and evaluating customer requirements after order receipt as well as participating in development-, standardization- and process optimization projects
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations, internal quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety guidelines, including QA processes, Code of Conduct, and CE conformity of the equipment
Qualifikation
- Bachelor's degree or further education as a technician in the field of electrical engineering, energy technology, automation technology, information processing, measurement-, control- and regulation technology or a comparable qualification
- Multiple years of professional experience (at least 2 years) in automation technology, ideally in plant construction and/or water treatment
- Fundamental knowledge in SPS programming (at least one common system, preferably Siemens)
- Good knowledge in measurement-, control- and regulation technology (MSR)
- Experience in creating technical documentation and working papers
- Able to create technical concepts and customer-oriented solutions
- Safe handling of MS Office
- Very good German language skills (C1) as well as good English language skills (at least B2) in writing and speaking
- Structured, systematic, and analytical working style as well as the ability to reliably implement guidelines and standards
- Teamwork ability and strong communication skills
- National/international travel readiness of approximately 25%
