Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join our growing team in Milan and help shape the future of our flagship project, Colosseum, one of Europe's leading fintech solutions. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the scalable and resilient infrastructure that powers our services. **Responsibilities:** * Design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing. * Implement and manage container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes). * Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. * Ensure the security and reliability of our platform. * Collaborate with development teams to understand their infrastructure needs. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. * Contribute to the development of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices. * Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support. * Mentor junior engineers and share best practices. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or a similar role. * Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, etc.). * Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker). * Experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem. * Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java). * Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). * Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). * Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and collaboration abilities. **Bonus Points:** * Experience with other cloud providers (GCP, Azure). * Knowledge of database administration (SQL and NoSQL). * Experience with networking concepts (VPC, Load Balancers, DNS). * Familiarity with microservices architecture. * Experience in the fintech industry. **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Opportunity to work on a cutting-edge fintech product. * A dynamic and collaborative work environment. * Professional development and growth opportunities. * Relocation assistance for candidates moving to Milan. * Flexible working arrangements.
