Senior Platform Engineer (CX)

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (Developer Experience) to establish and standardise engineering practices, improve developer workflows, and set standards for CI/CD and collaboration. This role combines hands-on DevOps expertise with a strong emphasis on clarity, documentation, and process design. The goal is to make our engineering organisation more efficient, consistent, and scalable so this person will work closely with engineering leads, product managers, and other stakeholders to achieve this vision. Key responsibilities include: • Establishing and maintaining engineering best practices and standards for CI/CD, collaboration, and developer workflows. • Designing and implementing processes and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering organisation. • Collaborating with engineering leads, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritise initiatives that drive business value and improve the overall engineering experience. • Developing and maintaining documentation for engineering practices, processes, and tools. • Providing technical guidance and support to engineers on best practices, tooling, and process improvements. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our engineering organisation's capabilities and efficiency. Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role. • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies. • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI. • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
