(Senior) PHP Backend Developer (m/w/d)

Full Time Remote Senior

Job description

We are looking for a new member of our client team to work with us on managing events in our company-owned system and configuring our online shops. The client team is one of the three self-organized domain teams at ticket i/O IT, which independently steer their projects. Currently, it consists of 8 people, including a Tech Lead, a Product Owner, and six Fullstack Developers.

You will be working with approximately 30 colleagues in the IT. New features as well as the further development of our Online-Ticketing Software will be driven forward by us in Sprints. TypeScript (nodeJS) is our preferred programming language, with nestJS as our framework for the backend and ReactJS for the frontend. Our application builds and hosts on AWS, creating a micro-service-based and scalable infrastructure. Are you ready to start?

We are an innovative company in the ticketing and event industry, combining long-standing experience from event, leisure, sports, and trade fair sectors with cutting-edge technology to create an intuitive software solution. Since 2014, our team of over 90 employees has been working together with great enthusiasm to ensure a smooth workflow before, during, and after events.

Aufgaben

  • Support your team in the continuous development and implementation of configuration for online ticketing for events
  • Design and develop new features: from analyzing requirements to implementing individual development steps
  • Weigh solution-oriented, pragmatic, and economically between visionary ideas and optimal software architecture
  • Take over process monitoring (Monitoring) and consider scalability in particular
  • A little operation (DevOps, Terraform), in collaboration with our two administrators

Qualifikation

  • You like working in agile teams and work independently and self-organizingly
  • You know your way around: from infrastructure (IaC) to database in the backend
  • You have several years of experience with Node.js, React, and SQL and are confident with JavaScript (ideally with TypeScript)
  • You can read PHP and Symfony to understand our legacy code and create integrations.
  • You have an eye for clean architectures and interfaces
  • You perfect your work with the help of unit tests & Co. and use GIT to stay in sync with your team
  • You are curious and have no hesitation in learning new programming languages, technologies, and methods
  • You speak fluent English and good German (at least B2)

Benefits

  • Modern Apple hardware, free IDE selection, plus two 4K monitors at the office workstations
  • Work-Life-Balance: flexible working hours and home office (up to 100% remote), company fitness (Urban Sports membership) & 30 days of vacation plus 2 days of business leave
  • JobRad: lease your new dream model through us
  • Good insurance: benefit from company-sponsored disability and old-age pension plans
  • A open and appreciative atmosphere in the workplace and beyond - enjoy unique summer festivals, Christmas parties, and various team activities with us

Besides the professional requirements, we are looking for people who fit in. Experience and humanity are most important to us. Insights into work and company culture can be found on our kununu-Profil and at instagram, feel free to take a look! ๐Ÿ™‚
