Senior Performance Tester

Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance test plans using WebLoad and JMeter to validate system scalability, reliability, and performance. Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, propose optimizations, and work with development teams to implement improvements. Conduct performance testing in various environments, including cloud-based and on-premises systems, to simulate real-world user loads and stress conditions. Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts and test data, ensuring reusability and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to understand system requirements and performance goals. Provide regular performance test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, performance testing tools, and emerging technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in performance test environment setup and configuration, ensuring accurate and realistic testing conditions. Mentor and guide junior performance testers, providing training and support as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in performance testing, with a strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices. Extensive experience with performance testing tools, including WebLoad and JMeter. Experience with performance testing of web applications, APIs, and databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks. Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation. Experience with performance monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to create and maintain clear and concise performance test documentation. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based performance testing, such as AWS or Azure. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Performance certifications, such as a Performance Testing Certification (e.g., HP LoadRunner, Micro Focus Performance Center). Experience with performance testing of microservices and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with security testing and performance considerations.
